VMMC Safdarjung Hospital Senior Resident 2026 – Apply for 179 Posts

1. Stage 1: Walk-in Interview

VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital (Vardhman Mahavir Medical College & Safdarjung Hospital), New Delhi, has announced a Walk-in-Interview recruitment for 179 Senior Resident posts on an Adhoc basis in 2026. These vacancies span 38 specialties/departments including the satellite centre RHTC, Najafgarh. Candidates with MBBS and PG Degree/Diploma/DNB recognized by NMC and registered or applied for registration with Delhi Medical Council can participate.

• Total Posts: 179 (149 in main hospital, 30 in RHTC Najafgarh)
• Selection Mode: Walk-in-Interview (100 marks)
• Job Type: Adhoc initially for 89 days, extendable up to 3 years including prior government service
• Pay Scale: Rs. 67,700/- Level-11 pay matrix plus allowances as per 7th CPC
• Security Deposit: Rs. 65,000/- refundable after completion or resignation with notice
• PwBD Reservation: 24 posts horizontally reserved

The recruitment covers 38 specialties including Medicine, Surgery, Anesthesia, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Cardiology, and many more. Candidates will be posted on a rotational basis including the satellite centre RHTC, Najafgarh. Teaching experience certificate will be issued by VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital.

Candidates must have an MBBS degree with a postgraduate degree/diploma/DNB in the relevant specialty recognized by NMC and registered or applied for registration with Delhi Medical Council. Age and other eligibility conditions are as per the official notification.

• Reporting Time: 09:00 AM to 10:30 AM on respective dates

No online application or fee. Candidates must fill Application Form as per Annexure-I and carry it to the interview venue.
