🎯 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Minimum Requirement:
- For General Duty: Class 10th/Matric pass with 45% marks in aggregate of five basic subjects and minimum 33% marks in each of those five subjects
- For Indian Gorkhas: Class 10th simple pass
- For Grading System Boards: Grades commensurate to percentages as mentioned above will be considered
⚠️ Important Note for Awaiting Results:
Candidates who have appeared in Class 10th Board Exam and are awaiting declaration of results are also eligible to apply, provided they fulfill all other qualifications. However, such candidates shall only be selected when they produce the original marksheet during Phase II of the recruitment process.

Age Relaxation
- Upper age limit will be relaxable up to 30 years of age (as on date of joining training) for widows of Defence personnel who have died in harness
- Women who are widowed, divorced, or legally separated are also eligible provided they do not have any children (subject to fulfilling all other eligibility criteria)
- Widows of Defence Personnel who have died in harness will be eligible to apply for enrolment as Women Military Police
- Such widows even with children will be eligible only if they have not remarried

🔍 Selection Process
The selection process for Indian Army Agniveer Recruitment 2026 consists of two main phases:
Phase I - Online Common Entrance Exam (CEE)
- Computer-based test conducted at designated test centres
- Conducted for provisionally shortlisted candidates

- Final merit list will be based on aggregate of marks scored in CEE and performance in PFT (if applicable)
