Assam Rifles Recruitment 2026 - Apply Offline for 117 Havildar Clerk, Rifleman Mason and More Posts

This recruitment is purely under the Compassionate Ground Appointment Scheme. There is no competitive written examination. Selection is based on verification of eligibility as dependent family members of Assam Rifles personnel.

• Eligible Categories (only one dependent family member per deceased / medically discharged / missing personnel):
  • Killed in Action (KIA)
  • Died while in service
  • Discharged from service on medical grounds
  • Missing while in service
• Recruitment Rally: Tentatively scheduled in Jul/Aug 2026 at Lokhra (Assam).
• Firm date of reporting and detailed instructions will be sent to eligible candidates by registered post / email and uploaded on the official website www.assamrifles.gov.in.
• Final selection is subject to document verification, medical examination and other formalities as per Assam Rifles rules.

Note: Vacancies are tentative and subject to change. Assam Rifles reserves the right to cancel or modify the recruitment without assigning any reason.

How to Apply

Application Mode: Offline (by post) or through email.

Steps to Apply:

1. Download the prescribed application format from the official Assam Rifles website (www.assamrifles.gov.in) or use the format given in the notification.
2. Fill the application form completely.
3. Attach self-attested copies of the following documents:
   • Educational certificates
   • Domicile certificate
   • Caste certificate (if applicable)
   • Diploma / Technical / ITI certificate of the trade (as per Qualitative Requirements)
   • One xerox copy of Photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID or Driving Licence)
4. Write “APPLICATION FOR COMPASSIONATE GROUND APPOINTMENT” boldly on the top of the postal envelope.
5. Send the complete application by post or email to the address below.

• Only one dependent family member per eligible Assam Rifles personnel can apply.
• Candidates must be Indian citizens and meet all eligibility conditions as on the cut-off date (01 Jan 2026 for age).
• All documents must be self-attested; original documents will be checked at the time of rally / document verification.
• Pay scale and allowances will be as admissible to Assam Rifles personnel.
• The recruitment rally date and reporting instructions will be intimated separately to eligible candidates only.
