1. Stage 1: Written Exam (Qualifying)

The Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) conducts the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) for recruiting teachers at PRT (Level 1), TGT (Level 2), and PGT (Level 3) posts. The exam is offline, objective type with 150 questions for 150 marks and a duration of 2 hours 30 minutes. There is no negative marking. Exam language is English and Hindi. • Child Development and Pedagogy: Principles of child development, socialization, Piaget, Kohlberg & Vygotsky theories, inclusive education, motivation and learning.
• Haryana GK: Districts, history, culture, festivals, important personalities, geography, economy, current affairs related to Haryana.
• Quantitative Aptitude & Mathematics: Number system, simplification, ratio & proportion, profit & loss, time & work, mensuration, data interpretation, algebra & geometry basics.
• Reasoning: Analogies, classification, series completion, coding-decoding, blood relations, direction sense, puzzles, syllogism.
• Languages (English & Hindi): Reading comprehension, grammar including tenses, articles, vocabulary, synonyms & antonyms, sentence correction, cloze test, idioms & phrases.
• Environmental Studies (PRT level): Food, materials, living world, natural resources, moving things, people & ideas.
• Subject Specific (TGT & PGT): Syllabus as per NCERT/CBSE for classes VI-X (TGT) and IX-XII (PGT).

• Each correct answer carries 1 mark.
• No negative marking for wrong answers.
