Eligibility Criteria

Junior Overman (Trainee) - S1 Grade:

• Diploma in Mining or Mining Engineering or equivalent approved qualification
• Valid Overman's Certificate of Competency from DGMS under Coal Mines Regulation 2017
• Valid First Aid Certificate
• SSLC/10th Standard/Matriculation as proof of Hindi medium study
• Minimum 60% marks (Aggregate) for UR/OBC-NCL, 50% for SC/ST

Mining Sirdar (Selection Grade-I) - SG1 Grade:

• Diploma or Degree in any subject (non-Mining Engineering) + Mining Sirdar Certificate of Competency (DGMS) + Valid First Aid Certificate
• OR Diploma in Mining with Overman Competency Certificate + Valid First Aid Certificate
• SSLC/10th Standard/Matriculation as proof of Hindi medium study

• Junior Overman (Trainee) - S1 Grade: Maximum age limit is 30 years for UR, 33 years for OBC-NCL, 35 years for SC, and 30 years for ST candidates
• Mining Sirdar (Selection Grade-I) - SG1 Grade: Maximum age limit is 30 years for UR, 33 years for OBC-NCL, 35 years for SC, and 35 years for ST candidates
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates are eligible for 5 years relaxation. OBC-NCL candidates are eligible for 3 years relaxation. However, the maximum age limit in all cases cannot exceed 58 years

• Part-I: 30 questions on General Aptitude (Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, General Awareness at Diploma level)
• Part-II: 70 questions on subject knowledge
• Total 100 objective type questions
• Duration: 120 minutes
• Question Paper in English Language only
• Minimum qualifying marks: 50% for UR candidates, 40% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates
• Project Affected Persons (PAPs) eligible for 20 bonus marks
• Final selection based on merit order with due reservation
• Tie-breaking by Date of Birth (senior most by age), then alphabetical order of first name
• Medical fitness examination (Pre-Employment Medical)
