• Qualifications: Candidates must possess suitable qualifications for the respective post they are applying for as specified in the official NCRA notification (Advt No. 2026/01 to 2026/05).

• Scientific Assistant-B, Technical Assistant-B, Laboratory Assistant-B, Clerk-A – Advt 2026/04: As specified in the detailed advertisement at www.ncra.tifr.res.in for Advt No. 2026/04.

 Age Limit

• Maximum Age – 28 years: Applicable for all posts except Engineer-C (Civil).
• Maximum Age – 31 years: Applicable for Engineer-C (Civil) at GMRT Khodad under Advt 2026/03.
• Age relaxation as per Government of India rules wherever applicable.

Selection Process

• If the eligible number of applications are large, the Centre will restrict the number of candidates for written tests by applying additional parameters like merit list of the applicants based on the marks in the basic qualification, number of years of experience and select reasonable number of candidates for each post for recruitment purpose.
• If found necessary, centre will conduct more than one written test, online test, skill test, for making a primary merit list.
• This merit list is not a selection list. This merit list will be used to further shortlisting of the candidates for final written tests, online interviews, wherever required.
• The candidate securing the highest marks in the final list prepared by the Selection Committee will be considered for selection if the candidate is otherwise suitable.
