Overview
The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the UGC NET exam twice a year to determine eligibility for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in India. The June 2026 exam will be held between 22 June and 30 June 2026 in CBT mode. Candidates qualifying the exam become eligible for teaching positions and Ph.D. admissions. This examination has no negative marking and includes two papers: Paper 1 (Teaching and Research Aptitude) and Paper 2 (Subject Specific).
Applicants should check eligibility criteria such as having a Master’s degree with minimum 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) before applying. Final year students can also apply.
